COOKIE POLICY

1. What are cookies?

The website owned and operated by Family Office, S.L. — hereinafter “the website” or “the site” — uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies may serve a wide variety of purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or personalising the way content is displayed.

The user may configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the website, without this affecting their ability to access the website’s content, although the quality of the website’s performance may decrease. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.

2. What types of cookies exist?

Depending on their duration, cookies can be divided into:

Session cookies These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are generally used to store information that is only relevant for providing the requested service. They expire when the user closes the browser.
Persistent cookies These are cookies in which the data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period depending on when the purpose they serve is fulfilled (for example, to keep the user identified in the Services), or until they are manually deleted.
First-party cookies These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal device from a computer or domain managed by the website owner itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third-party cookies These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the website owner, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

Additionally, depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified as follows:

Technical cookies These enable the user to browse a website, platform or application and use the various options or services available on it, including those used by the publisher to allow the management and operation of the website and to enable its functions and services, such as, for example, identifying the session or controlling data traffic and communication.
Preference or personalisation cookies This type of cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the services, so you do not need to reconfigure the service each time you visit. Examples include: volume settings for video or audio players; video streaming speeds compatible with your browser.
Geolocation cookies These cookies are used to determine which country you are in when you request a service. This cookie is completely anonymous and is only used to help direct content to your location.
Registration cookies Registration cookies are generated once the user has registered or subsequently opened a session, and are used to identify the user in the services for the following purposes: to keep the user identified so that, if they close a service, the browser or the computer, and at another time or on another day they re-enter that service, they will remain identified, thus making browsing easier without having to log in again. This functionality can be disabled if the user clicks the “close session” option, which will delete this cookie and the next time the user accesses the service they will have to log in again to be identified; to verify whether the user is authorised to access certain services, for example, to participate in a competition.
Analytics or measurement cookies Each time a User visits a service, a tool from an external provider generates an analytical cookie on the user’s computer. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used on future visits to the Web Services to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives are: to allow the anonymous identification of browsing users — the cookie identifies browsers and devices, not people — and therefore the approximate count of visitors and their trend over time; to anonymously identify the most visited and therefore most attractive content for users; to determine whether the user accessing the site is new or a returning visitor. Important: Unless the user chooses to register for a Web service, the cookie will never be associated with any personal data that could identify them. These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes to help optimise the Users’ experience on the site.
Behavioural advertising cookies This type of cookie allows the information displayed in advertisements shown to each anonymous user in the Web Services to be expanded. Among other things, the duration or frequency of display of advertising positions, interaction with them, or the user’s browsing patterns and/or behaviour are stored, as they help to build up a profile of advertising interest. In this way, they allow advertising relevant to the user’s interests to be offered.
Third-party advertising cookies In addition to the advertising managed by the Website in its Services, the Website offers its advertisers the option of serving advertisements through third-party AdServers. In this way, these third parties may store cookies sent from the Web Services from users’ browsers, and access the data stored therein.

6. Profiling.

In compliance with Articles 13(2)(f) and 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter, the GDPR), we inform you that automated decisions with legal effects for the user, or which affect them in a similarly significant manner, are taken for the purpose of profiling.

In this regard, and based on this profiling:

  • The logic applied in such profiling consists of analysing age ranges, professional occupation and interests.

  • For Family Office, S.L., this use is important and essential because its main objective is to analyse the type of client requesting services, in order to direct communications and acquisition campaigns to this sector of the population.

  • Finally, in the interest of maximum transparency, the expected consequences for you as a user of this profiling are, primarily, inclusion in our database and the possible receipt of communications.

7. Rights of data subjects.

We remind you that data protection regulations, under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, allow data subjects to exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure (right to be forgotten), objection, portability, restriction of processing, and the right to object to automated decision-making including profiling.

You may exercise these rights at our registered address at Calle Lagasca, 88, local, 28001, Madrid, as well as by email at ppdd@mabelcapital.com.

You can obtain further information in our privacy policy.

8. Retention periods.

In compliance with Article 13(2)(a) of the GDPR, we inform you that cookies will be installed for a specific period of time. Should the user wish to consult the retention periods and obtain further information on this point, they should refer to the expiration column in section 3. What cookies do we use?

Family Office, S.L. may modify this Cookie Policy in accordance with legislative or regulatory requirements, or in order to adapt it to instructions issued by European and/or national supervisory authorities — in our case, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Users are therefore advised to visit it periodically.

When significant changes are made to this Cookie Policy, users will be notified either via the website or by email to registered users.

Finally, you may consult our privacy policy for additional information (Article 13 of the GDPR) on the processing of your personal data carried out by Family Office, S.L.
